New Online Recreation Page On Roseburg.com

Monday, August 7, 2017

Recreation navigationFire season is in full swing, and that often means questions about public access to Roseburg Forest Products’ privately owned timberlands. Roseburg is excited to announce a new online Recreation webpage, designed to keep the public informed about restrictions and requirements for accessing the company’s valuable timberlands.

The page provides information about fire season access to the company’s gated and ungated properties, explanations of signage posted at various sites, and a listing of permitted and prohibited activities. Visit the page at www.roseburg.com/recreation to check it out!

Roseburg is proud of its long history of providing controlled public access to its privately owned Oregon timberlands for recreational purposes. While many timberland owners now charge a fee for recreational access, Roseburg will continue to permit free access through its non-fee controlled access program, as long as users comply with certain restrictions designed to keep the public safe and to prevent wildfires and other potential hazards from impacting this valuable resource.
