Monday, May 13, 2013

The biannual Composite Panel Association (CPA) meeting was held in San Diego, Calif., last week. The members of CPA represent nearly 95 percent of the total manufacturing capacity in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  Roseburg has been a core member of this group for many years holding various committee positions including CPA secretary/treasurer currently held by VP of Composites Grady Mulberry and CPA marketing committee chairman currently held by Product Manager Rick Troxel. Other participants this year included Business Director of Composites Jim Buffington, Plant Manager Mark Avery, Product Engineer Mark Graham and Sales Service Manager Jeff Lundegard.

According to the CPA website, “The meeting featured speakers and educational workshops on substantive industry issues, exhibit and sponsorship opportunities to build awareness of members’ products and services, and business meetings to develop policies and programs.”

The CPA was founded in 1960 and its primary objective is to “advocate for public policies that align with those of the composite panel industry, and to do so in a credible, effective way.”
