Social REsponsibility
For over 75 years, the Ford family has been an integral factor in the health and sustainability of our local communities in Southern Oregon. So it makes sense that the company’s values reflect the core of the Ford family: “We are committed to our communities” has become a theme for every facility owned by Roseburg Forest Products.
The Ford Family Foundation is the largest charitable foundation in Oregon. Roseburg Forest Products has taken that same philosophy of generosity and expanded it into the 80 communities in which our people live and work.
Community Involvement
Roseburg employees express their commitment to their communities each year through the Employee Giving Campaign. The company matches employees’ donations, making the impact even greater in each of our operating communities. In 2011, during the toughest and longest recession in our industry, the employees joined forces to raise just over $300,000 to give to such charities as United Way, Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity and American Cancer Society.
In addition to the fund-raising projects in place, Roseburg has made numerous donations of wood resources to support and build communities in need. Whether it’s lumber for new bleachers at a local high school, or engineered wood for raised garden beds for an elementary school class, we enjoy using our resources for the benefit of others. We like to help our neighbors.
