Roseburg approved as ULEF Manufacturer of Hardwood Plywood Panels

Monday, December 20, 2010

We are very excited to announce that our Hardwood Panels have received exempt status by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). California Executive Order N-10-038 exempts Roseburg’s hardwood plywood from third party certification of formaldehyde emissions because we use an ultra-low-emitting formaldehyde (ULEF) resin to bond the panel. Exemption includes Hardwood Panels manufactured with veneer, composite, and CFC veneer core.

Roseburg Plywood Plant Manager Cindy Frost states, “ULEF exempt status means our hardwood panels 'Surpass the Test' because they consistently meet the requirements of CARB Phase 2, some of the strictest formaldehyde emission standards in the world.”
