Stuart Gray named Chief Operating Officer at Roseburg

Springfield, Ore. – Roseburg is pleased to announce that Stuart Gray has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. The company’s ongoing growth in a complex and fast-paced business environment drove Roseburg’s executive team to create the new role to leverage Gray’s skillset and experience.

“As we continue to expand Roseburg’s business, our business context and related challenges are also increasing,” Roseburg President and CEO Grady Mulbery said. “Adding a COO to our leadership structure is a very effective way to help continue our success. Stuart’s leadership and growth with our strategic business development initiatives demonstrate that he’s the right fit for this role.”

Roseburg’s executive team will remain intact and move forward with their current roles and responsibilities. As COO, Gray will assume oversight for operations, sales and HR/EHS. The three current senior vice presidents for those functions will fall within the scope of the COO.

With deep roots in the construction and building supply industry, Gray joined Roseburg in 2017 as senior vice president and general counsel, overseeing the company’s strategic business development, compliance and environmental teams. He earned his law degree from Emory University School of Law and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He spent 12 years in roles of progressive responsibility with The Home Depot Inc.’s legal department, and two more as vice president and deputy general counsel at Sears Holding Corporation.
