Adam Reed named one of 2024 Wood Industry 40 Under 40

Roseburg’s Adam Reed, plant manager for Roanoke Valley Lumber in Weldon, NC, has been named one of the wood industry’s 40 Under 40 by the Woodworking Network. This prestigious accolade celebrates the next generation of industry professionals who are making significant contributions to the woodworking sector.

The Wood Industry 40 Under 40 program highlights the achievements and potential of young professionals under the age of 40. These individuals are recognized by their peers and selected based on their innovation, leadership, and dedication to advancing the woodworking industry. The program aims to recognize those who are driving change and inspiring others through their commitment and expertise.

Adam has been integral to the success of Roseburg’s newest lumber mill, Roanoke Valley Lumber. The plant, which started producing lumber for the market this year, stands as a testament to Adam’s expert leadership and vision in building a strong culture from the ground up all while working hard to make sure the new plant comes online.

“Adam and his team have created a roadmap for Roseburg Forest Products on how to build a best-in-class work system and culture,” said Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Tony Ramm. “From the very inception of Roanoke Valley Lumber, Adam has been intentional about not just constructing the plant, but also building an exceptional team and working environment. He has achieved this through leveraging leadership, comprehensive training, and active community involvement.”

Adam joined Roseburg in 2014 as an intern in our Coquille Plywood plant in Oregon and quickly made an impression as he moved up within the company. Now, ten years later, he’s serving as Plant Manager for Roanoke Valley Lumber and making waves in the industry.

Roseburg is proud of Adam and everything he has accomplished in his time at the company. Please join us in congratulating Adam!

Adam and the rest of the honorees will be recognized at a leadership reception at this year’s International Woodworking Fair (IWF) in Atlanta on August 5th.
